Colts outside linebacker Dwight Freeney suffered a high ankle sprain when Chicago Bears left offensive tackle J’Marcus Webb dove at him from behind. Freeney didn’t hesitate to say it was an illegal hit, which didn’t draw a flag. It’s been three weeks and change since he hobbled off at Soldier Field. Phillip Wilson of the Indianapolis Star reports Freeney conceded he’s just been testing out that ankle. “I hope to play but that doesn’t mean it’s going to happen,†he said. “It’s really a day-to-day deal. I treat it the same way I’ve treated all the injuries. It’s going to be I wake up on Thursday, how does it feel? Wake up on Friday, how does it feel?
