Morris Claiborne has been medically cleared to practice when a select group of Cowboys players reconvene at Valley Ranch next week for the start of training camp. But his arrival date remains uncertain as the club continues its efforts to reach agreement on a contract with the rookie cornerback. The sticking point in the negotiations is not the the financial terms but rather the offset language, which outlines the amount of guaranteed money the club would owe if Claiborne is released before the expiration of the original deal. The same issue has bogged down contract talks involving the first eight players selected in the 2012 draft. Claiborne, the sixth overall pick, missed the Cowboys’ organized team activities and mini-camp as he recovered from surgery to repair ligament damage in his left wrist.
