While at City Hall to help announce a plan to raise awareness to the fight against diabetes, Cowboys tight end Martellus Bennett gave quarterback Tony Romo a verbal shot of insulin Tuesday. The small crowd listened to 8-year-old Kendall Tubbs talk about her daily battle with diabetes, then she got set to throw a football toward Bennett and former Heisman Trophy winner Tim Brown as they posed for photos. "I hope she's not Tony Romo 'cause I won't get the ball," said Bennett, who has only four receptions in five games. After the crowd's nervous laugh, Kendall tossed a ball to Bennett, saying, "I found you." Source: Dallas Morning News
yeah, he's not ripping romo as a bad qb, just aknowledging the fact that he is way down the progression chart.
if martellus WAS trying to take a stab at romo, it's only because he believed the hype everyone was giving him about him being a big part of the offense
He has started more games than our FB has. Heck our rookie TE seems to be playing more than our FB has the past couple of weeks.
man dude Marty B is a clown and i dont mean that in bad way i mean dude is alwayscracking jokes and crap dude has never really done anything ona seriuos note
lol..... if I was that kid I would have thrown him the ball high and then ran up and kicked him in the nuts when he wasnt paying attention and said "YOU KNOW WHY"
All I can say to this is that there is a right place and time for saying stuff like that and clearly a diabetes benefit is not the place lol. He and Romo will hug it out.
