So...Reid changed his ways...it actually worked...and vows never to do it again. Yeah, it makes sense...
he changed his ways when garcia was the qb as well and it worked. but dammit - heck winning, he's gonna pass it at a ratio that has been proven over & over not to work and if you don't like it he'll eat your children.
the eagles only give up 12 more rushing yards a game than the giants. does that mean new york should abandon the run ? this long standing philosophy of reid's doesn't work, it has never worked for any team with a similar pass/run ratio. add to that the fact that he has only once truely provided his qb with adequet weapons to to even think of passing as much as he does. the fouts lead chargers couldn't win this way and they had 10,000 times the talent in their receiving corp. when martz took over as head coach of the rams he also had much more talent than the eagles do and it didn't work for them. you need balance and no matter what excuse can be used to defend his decision not run more be it, westbrook's durability, lack of a big back, no fb, the o-line, whatever, it falls on the the coach and gm and they happen to be the same person.
Be interesting how he calls the Cowboy's game at the end of the year with our pass D playing better than before. We can still be run on, and the Eagles have beat us when Westbrook has good games
definitely should be interesting. i think weather may help dictate things as well. the other key is to pressure romo. he's proven too many times he can not handle it. the other thing that happened again yesterday was mcnabb ran for 1st downs when it was there. the defense was fresh in the 4th because they weren't on the field too long. how great was that 12 minutes they spent on the sidelines during the 3rd quarter for them ?
