Dolphins Could Be Interested In Free Agent FS Darren Sharper?

  1. Word is free agent free safety Darren Sharper has been doing some of his rehab from arthroscopic knee surgery he underwent in early March in Miami and you have to wonder if he might be asked to swing by the Dolphins' offices next time he's in town. When coach Tony Sparano was asked his thoughts on that situation at the NFL meetings in Orlando early this week, he said right now it's between Tyrone Culver and Chris Clemons but he didn't exactly give either one a ringing endorsement. "Right now that's where we are," he said. "I was impressed with Chris. That's one reason for what we did last year, playing these players the number of plays that we played them. We're not guessing, there's a body of work out there. As we go on we'll see what we do there, but yeah, it's Culver and Chris right now, we'll do that and move on." Sharper, who played for a $1.7 Million base last year with a couple of midseason bonuses that he probably reached, especially considering he had nine picks and was named All-Pro, is not the long-term answer but he could be a short-term one.
