The NFL confirmed it has fined linebacker Jason Taylor $5,000 for an illegal hit on Buffalo quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick during the second quarter of last Sunday’s 31-14 loss to the Bills. Taylor was called for roughing the passer and flagged for 15 yards after he hit Fitzpatrick in the head following a screen pass on 2nd-and-4 to running back Fred Jackson. The play picked up 17 yards.
