The Miami Dolphins and Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Gimenez have reached an agreement that would allow the team to receive $7.5 million per year from the county from a hotel tax to renovate Sun Life Stadium, according to the Miami Herald. The county commissioners are to convene Wednesday to approve the deal and send it to a county-wide referendum, where it would be voted upon May 14. This is a week before NFL owners are to award sites for Super Bowls L and LI. As a part of the deal, the Dolphins have agreed to give up the money in the event that Sun Life Stadium is not awarded one of those Super Bowl games. Source: National Football Post
