Dolphins rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill was the 8th overall pick in April's draft. Tannehill had somewhat of a jump on the Dolphins offense since new Dolphins offensive coordinator Mike Sherman was his college coach. According to Brian Biggane of the Palm Beach Post, Tannehill is not in the running to start right now due to his untimely mistakes, particularly when throwing into traffic. Coach Joe Philbin and his staff have made it clear that turnovers will not be tolerated, so for now at least Tannehill will continue his apprenticeship as the No. 3 guy. It appears that at this time the Dolphins starting quarterback job will come down to David Garrard and Matt Moore with Garrard being in the lead right now. Source: The Redzone
