The Miami Dolphins possibly addressed the one pressing issue heading into April's NFL draft by signing offensive guard Lance Louis on Wednesday to fortify the offensive line.

Louis, who signed a one-year deal with Miami, was the Chicago Bears' best offensive lineman last season before landing on injured reserve.

Louis started 11 games last season before suffering a torn ACL in a Nov. 25 game against the Minnesota Vikings at Soldier Field. Louis was injured on an illegal hit by Vikings defensive end Jared Allen.

It is unlikely that Louis, who has started 28 of the 41 games he's played the past four seasons, will be able to practice without limitations during the team's OTA sessions that begin next month.

This is one guy I wish was resigned by the Bears. I wish him the best of luck in Miami.

Not saying he's a pro bowler but he was the Bears most consistant o-lineman last season before he tore his ACL.

Saying he was the best Bear OL & a couple bucks'll get you a Denny's Grand Slam breakfast.... maybe. :icon_rolleyes:

Better at guard, ok at best at LT. Lot to do with the lack of chemistry on the Bear OL but it'll be interesting how he adjusts to the new system & if he continues to grow. For all the hype, he never showed the consistency.

Obviously the Bears weren't that impressed to keep him as a known commodity regardless that you'll read here & there that he was graded out as a B.
