The Miami Dolphins haven't settled on a scheme the defense will use as its base in 2012, but the team has determined that Koa Misi will remain a linebacker moving forward. An NFL source said Miami's new coaches don't intend to make Misi a defensive end, and that there are tentative plans to experiment with using Misi, who started 20 of the 28 games he's played as a strong side linebacker in a 3-4 scheme, as an inside linebacker. The Dolphins have made finding a pass rusher a priority this offseason. Misi played defensive end at Utah, contributing 10.5 sacks in his three seasons as a starter. But Misi, who the Dolphins selected with the 40th pick in the 2010 draft, contributed 5.5 sacks in two seasons.
