Eagles coach Andy Reid has a simple message for starting quarterback Michael Vick -- cut down on the turnovers.

Vick had three first-half fumbles Week 5 at Pittsburgh, losing two, he has now fumbled eight times in five games and has lost five.

“Obviously, we can't have the turnovers we had in the first half,'' Reid said. “It's hindering our ability to score and we've got to make sure we fix that. Turnovers are something you've got to focus on in practice, and you've got to make sure you're aware of it during the game, make sure ball security is right."

Although, Reid is confident Vick will right the ship like he did with throwing interceptions. Vick threw six interceptions in the first two games, but hasn't thrown one the last three.

“He's going to get that right, just like he did with the interceptions,'' Reid said. “That's not the last time he's going to carry the ball, and he's got to secure it and keep high and tight and protect it with the off-hand.â€￾

vick's head must not be in the game right now for some reason if at this level and his age and experience, his head coach is having to reiterate to him to secure the ball and keep it high and tight and protect it with the off-hand.

that's something that should be second nature to him if his head is in the game.

Or else what, Reid? We know you won't bench him.

Love Vick and his fumbles, keep it up. I want the Eagles to go at least 9-7 so they keep Reid. That would be awesome.
