The Philadelphia Eagles re-signed Michael Vick on Monday to a one-year deal for the 2013 season, the team announced. Vick could make as much as $10 million next season under the one-year deal, according to a league source. This contract replaces the long-term contract Vick had signed in 2011 and he now is scheduled to be a free agent after next season. He was scheduled to make $15.5 million in base salary in 2013 under the six-year, $100 million extension he signed with the team in 2011. Vick, who turns 33 in June, passed for 2,362 yards, 12 touchdowns and 10 interceptions in 10 games last season, his fourth with the Eagles. Source: ESPN.com
:icon_cool::icon_cool::icon_cool: Lets do this crap Vick.. show them what you got man just like the 2010 season...They will send Foles packing just like they did Kolb.
vick said this morning during an interview that he thinks he can run for 1,000 yards in kelly's offense. can he stay healthy running that much though?
Kelly needs a young QB's legs. Not a QB's legs that will be 33 in June. And not a QB that can't stay healthy for a full season.
Vick could probably still run for a lot of yards. Problem is, he has too much pride to get down before he gets popped. He thinks he can still run around anyone in the league. He has gotten hurt from inside of the pocket as well, but I'm sure he would cut down on the hits if he played smarter.
Get yer popcorn ready. You never know, Kelly's offense might have the Eagles blowing up and scoring tons of points. Eagles fans should be excited I would think.
Not necessarily. Vick is 10 years older, at least, than the QBs that Kelly used to run his offense at Oregon.
True but you never know he was the most dynamic qb for awhile, he could recapture that in the next couple of seasons.
Recapture what? Being an a stage at bet passer verses crappy defenses and a horrible passer against anything decent?
