Winners: John Morrison and The Miz

    Kane promo is shown.

Elijah Burke is in the ring with the mike, "One more time tonight, give it up for my Shelton Benjamin". Shelton makes his way to the ring and takes the mic from Burke, "Everybody wants to know what I’m doing in ECW. Am I here to make a few new friends? No. Maybe I’m here to blend in, hang out in the back; say can’t we all just get along? Hell no. You should all be thanking Elijah for having the sense to reach out and bring in the best damn athlete ever to step foot in the squared circle. So, what does that mean for guys like Tommy Dreamer, Balls Mahoney, even the ECW Champ, CM Punk. It means it’s only a matter of time before Shelton Benjamin is the ECW Champ. I am the gold standard and quite frankly, there is no one here who can stop me. And like the lyrics of my song says, AIN’T NO STOPPING ME NOW!"

Shelton Benjamin vs. Shannon Moore: Shelton just outwrestles Moore throughout the entire thing. It was actually a little dull, sadly. The crowd wasn't exactly into it either. He hits his exploder suplex and just beats down on Moore for a few minutes before Moore escapes a suplex attempt, gets a quick near fall, hits a spinning heel kick, and a few other speed moves. Moore goes for a springboard clothesline, but Shelton catches him in on his shoulders and hits a spinning swinging DDT. It's a lot less complicated than it sounds, but it's enough to give Shelton his second win in a row. Winner: Shelton Benjamin

Big Daddy V w/ Matt Striker vs. Kane - Extreme Rules Match: Kane starts off kicking V. Kane then tries to take V down with a clothesline but instead V takes Kane down. V starts hammering down on Kane’s back. V then throws Kane out of the ring. Striker goes under the ring to get a kendo stick but Kane snatches it away from Striker. Kane gets in the ring and hits V with the kendo stick. V grabs Kane and picks him up and shakes him until he drops the stick then slams him to the mat and steps on Kane. Kane rolls out of the ring and V follows. Kane slams V’s head into the steel steps. Kane goes under the ring and pulls out a trashcan the tosses it into the ring, followed by a second trashcan. Kane turns around and V grabs him and slams him into the steel steps. V grabs Kane and throws him back into the ring then grabs a steel chair and gets in the ring. Kane is on his feet in the corner and V comes at him with the chair. Kane kicks V away then Kane climbs the ropes and jumps down on V. Kane sets up the chair on V’s head then goes to the climb the ropes. V takes the chair off and shoves Kane off the ropes. V gets out of the ring and chops Kane across the chest. Striker is shown going under the ring and pulling out a table.

V shoves Kane into the ringpost then throws Kane back into the ring. V gets in the ring and sets the table up in the corner. V kicks Kane and then slams Kane’s head into the table. V nails Kane with a huge chop then bounces off the ropes and puts Kane and himself through the table. V goes for the cover. 2 count. V calls out to Striker for another table. V takes the table and sets it up. Kane struggles to get to his feet. V grabs him by the head and punches him in the back then nails him with a head butt. V punches Kane several times. Kane fires back with several punches. V tries to pick up Kane but Kane holds onto the rope. Kane gets free and grabs the kendo stick and hits V several times with it. Kane pulls the stick away and gets ready to hit Kane with it. Kane hits V in the head with the trashcan. Out of nowhere Mark Henry runs into the ring and hits Kane. Mark Henry & V double-team Kane. Mark Henry holds Kane and V hits Kane in the head with the trashcan. Henry picks up Kane again and the pair double head butt him. Kane struggles to get up and gets squished between the two men. Kane falls to the mat but they pick him up and Kane ends up through the table. V goes for the cover. Winner: Big Daddy V

Programming note: Next week's ECW show will be on Thursday, December 6 at 10pm et on Sci-Fi. should be interesting because it will go head to head with the 2nd hour of TNA's Impact

CM Punk and Kane vs. Deuce and Domino: Punk and Kane work over Domino for a little bit. Punk eventually goes for the springboard clothesline, but Domino catches him in a gutbuster. Cool spot. The heels begin to double-team the champion. Domino utilizes a backbreaker and tries to whip Punk into the corner, but Punk puts on the breaks, pulls down the ropes, and sends Domino to the outside, allowing him to make the hot tag to Kane. Kane cleans house and eventually catches Domino in a chokeslam and CM Punk keeps Deuce at bay with a GTS. Kane makes the cover and the good guys pick up the win.

Shelton Benjamin is backstage in a very nice suit cutting a promo. He talks about the 49ers (not the football team, their namesake) searching for fool's gold. He makes the analogy of digging for gold like the 49ers, except he'll come up with the real thing. Shelton is looking more and more like a superstar each week. This time on the mic has done wonders for his personality.

The Miz and John Morrison vs. Shannon Moore and Jimmy Wang Yang: Miz and Moore start us off. Miz tries to overpower Moore, but Moore uses his speed to get the better of the exchange. Moore and Yang use their speed to hit some nice double-team moves. Eventually, Morrison gets in. Yang works him over with a Fujiwara armbar and hammerlock. Moore tags back in and they hit a double-suplex on Morrison. The match breaks down as Morrison gets sent to the outside. Miz comes in, but gets kicked to the outside by Yang for his troubles, as well. Moore and Yang then hit double-moonsaults on the champions to the outside in a great spot as we go to commercial. Back from commercial, Morrison has Yang in a rear chinlock. Yang is able to battle out of it and makes the hot tag to Moore. Moore clears house. He goes for a moonsault on Miz, but Miz pulls him off, causing Moore to land hard. The heels go on to work over Moore in an extended sequence. Moore eventually hits the hot tag and Yang clears house with a springboard cross body block and a nasty monkey flip to Morrison, who ended up landing face first on the mat. Yang went for a moonsault, but Morrison climbs to the top and stops him. Yang elbows him off, and does go for the moonsault, but Morrison ducks it and Yang lands on his feet. Morrison rolls up Yang and puts his feet on the ropes, but Moore breaks the count. Moore is tossed into the stairs by Miz for his troubles. Yang catches Morrison in a crucifix roll-up, but Morrison kicks out, Miz cheap shots Yang, and it's enough to distract him to allow Morrison to hit the corkscrew neckbreaker, gaining the victory for the tag champs.

Victoria and Layla vs. Kelly Kelly: Miz made this a handicap match. Kelly comes to the ring in a Red Sox shirt. Someone should tell her that we're all concentrating on the Patriots right now in this part of the country. Anyway, this was about what you'd expect. Just not as ebarrassing as usual. The heels worked Kelly over for most of the match, with Layla hitting a double spin kick for the three. Post-match, the heels beat down on Kelly with Michelle McCool hitting the ring to make the save.

Elijah Burke heads down to the ring. He says that even though he lost to Batista on Smackdown!, we're on ECW now and he's the new face of extreme and Batista will fall to the Elijah Experience.

Elijah Burke vs. Batista: Elijah Burke made note of Batista defeating him on last week's Smackdown, but swore that wouldn't be the case tonight. We're in ECW, which is his yard. Awesome, well-delivered promo that made us believe - just maybe - Burke would have a shot against Batista tonight. Burke definitely held his own against "The Animal." And it was an entertaining match, to boot. Burke went for the Elijah Experience, but Batista countered with the spear for the pinfall

The Miz and John Morrison vs. Jimmy Wang Yang and Shannon Moore: The faces completely dominated throughout the first part of the match right up until the commercial break. For the second half, the heels worked over Shannon Moore with some incredibly stiff offense and good double-team moves, including the slingshot into the forearm show, into the elbow drop. Eventually, Moore was able to catch Morrison coming off the top rope with a dropkick and make the hot tag to Yang who completely cleaned house with some nasty kicks and leg sweeps, keeping the Miz off his feet. Moore took care of Morrison on the outside with a nasty moonsault into a summersault from the top to the outside, but the distraction was enough for Miz to roll up Yang and get a near fall. Yang eventually got the upper hand and hit his version of the Best Moonsault Ever to get the three! Yang and Moore beat the tag champs! A step above their very good match last week. Both teams have great chemistry as partners and even better chemistry as opponents. Their title match should be just as good.

Shelton Benjamin vs. Colin DelaneyShelton just does all his signature moves, just in a very vicious manner. He eventually finishes him off with the inverted bulldog. They did a great job of making Shelton look like a badass here.

Kenny Dykstra w/ Victoria vs. Nunzi: oNunzio came out dressed as an elf a la Armageddon 2005. Nunzio tries to offer a candy cane as a peace offering, but to no avail. Dykstra makes short work of Nunzio and finishes the job with a top-rope leg drop.

CM Punk vs. MVP: The two do some great chain wrestling for the first few minutes. MVP eventually gets the upper hand with a boot to the side of the head. He works Punk over with some more submission holds and some forearm shots. Punk is able to take back control with his high knee/bulldog combo. Punk goes to the top, but is caught, crotched, and tied to the tree of woe. MVP lays the boots onto him and continues to do so before the five count, so MVP is disqualified. Great mat wrestling and told a good story, but they didn't seem to be going all out. Not that I'd expect them to, but I'd like to see them again down the line. They work well together. Post-match, Chavo Guerrero runs down to the ring and picks the remains of Punk and hits a Frog Splash for good measure.

ECW opened with a video of CM Punk and Chavo Guerrero. Armando Estra brought out Chavo Guerrero. Chavo came out, cut a promo, talking trash about CM Punk. CM Punk came out and Estrada signed the two to a match later on and if Chavo won, he would be the #1 contender for the ECW Championship.

John Morrison, The Miz and Layla vs. Shannon Moore, Jimmy Wang and Kelly Kelly. The team of Moore, Wang and Kelly got the win via pinfall.

Tazz interviewed Colin Delaney about having his first match with Shelton Benjamin on ECW a few weeks back. The guy said since the loss to Shelton, he has gotten better. Tazz introduced his opponent for tonight, Big Daddy V. Big Daddy squashed the guy in a quick match.

CM Punk vs. Chavo Guerrero, if Chavo wins he is the #1 contender to Punk's title. This was a pretty good match, probably the best of the night. Punk got the win via count out so Chavo isn't the #1 contender.

The show opened up this week with the 15 Minutes of Fame match. Basically, it was a mini iron man tag team match, named for Morrison's old gimmick while he was champion. The teams, of course: Miz & Morrison vs. Yang & Moore. Very good match. Not the best these teams have had, but the match felt hella important. The final tally was a tie, each team with one fall. Because of the stalemate, the champions retained.

Tazz was interviewing Colin Delaney. They recapped what had happened to Colin in his last two WWE appearances. They were really playing up the injuries, with his arm and ribs all taped up. Funny stuff. I hope he comes out more bandaged every week than he was the week prior. Tazz announced that Delaney's opponent would be Mark Henry. Joey Styles' prediction: "This will be like a grizzly bear mauling a chipmunk." Mark Henry easily won the match

Kelly Kelly and Layla Le competed in a dance-off. Diva Search contestant, Lena was the host. She awarded the contest to herself.

Shelton Benjamin backstage promo where he, once again, explained the finer points of being a prospector. He kept making references to gold nuggets

Despite losing fair and square last week, Chavo Guerrero got another shot at a shot at the ECW title in the main event. There was some good wrestling in this match. Chavo exposed the turnbuckle pad, then went to use the ECW title belt. Punk won by DQ, then hit the Go 2 Sleep after the match.

I like Kelly Kelly. I'm glad they dumped Mike Knox, he was such an butthole around her, and I'm glad they got rid of Miz as her manager. I don't know what half imbreed in the WWE thinks Miz has talent when he's an butthole! CM Punk has been a terrific champion, he and Chris Beniot would've had a great rivalry. But I'm glad they made CM Punk a fan favorite instead of arrogant heel. Too bad he and Kelly Kelly never got together.

John Morrison and The Miz vs. The Highlanders: The WWE Tag Team Champions come out first. The Highlanders hit the ring, making their ECW debuts. Morrison and Rory in first, with Morrison in control and a 2 count. The Miz gets tagged in and limits Rory to the center of the ring. Rory fights back and tries to make the tag but Miz holds him back. Rory makes the tag to Robbie and he comes in and cleans house on Miz and Morrison. Powerslam on Miz and 2 count, broken up by Morrison. The Miz regains control and hits a knee to the face followed by The Reality Check for the pinfall. Winners: John Morrison and The Miz

Another promo airs for new ECW superstar Kofi Kingston, it's just like the other ones that have been airing each week... trouble in paradise. Kofi Kingston will make his ECW debut next week.

Kelly Kelly comes out in knee high boots and a robe. She gets on the mic and says if you think the Divas on ECW look hot now, wait until next week when it is High Definition. Next week on ECW to celebrate ECW in HD, we will have a Best Body Contest with Kelly Kelly, Layla and Lena Yada.

Tazz points out that Colin has had 4 matches in his professional career and shows video highlights of Colin's squash matches. Colin, who is all bandaged up says "I'm here to fight another week". Tazz announces Colin's opponent for this week and it's Kane.

Kane vs. Colin Delaney: Colin puts his fists up to fight and Kane just laughs, and knocks him down with a boot. Kane throws him into the corner and just dominates him. Kane signals for the chokeslam, but Colin isn't getting up. Kane picks him up himself and hits a monster choke slam and the pinfall for the win. Winner: Kane

They show the highlights from RAW and Jeff Hardy vs. Randy Orton. Joey Styles said Randy Orton spent the night in a mobile medical facility and left this morning with only minor back pains and Jeff Hardy managed to stumble out of the stretcher just moments after RAW. Tazz and Styles go over the Royal Rumble pay-per-view card.

Shelton Benjamin vs. Nunzio: Styles reminds everyone that Shelton will be in the Rumble later this month. Shelton takes early control of Nunzio with power moves. Big t-bone suplex by Shelton. Nunzio tries to make a comeback with kicks to the knees but gets stomped by Shelton with a kick to the face. Shelton backs Nunzio into the corner and pummels him. Nunzio makes a small comeback but gets caught coming off the top rope by Shelton and dropped with a powerbomb. Shelton hits his inverted bulldog finisher and gets the 1-2-3 on Nunzio. Winner: Shelton Benjamin. Shelton grabs the mic, picks up Nunzio and says "AIN'T NO STOPPIN ME NOW!" and drops Nunzio with his finisher again.

CM Punk vs. Chavo Guerrero: The ECW Champion comes out first, holding his shoulder. The video from earlier of Punk being attacked by Edge and Chavo is shown. Chavo comes out ready to go and... World Heavyweight Champion Edge comes out, not dressed to wrestle. Edge sits at ringside and joins Styles and Tazz for commentary. The match goes back and forth early on. Chavo gets thrown out to the floor and the referee begins his count. Punk is in the ring, still holding his shoulder. Chavo continues to kick and work on Punk's shoulder. Edge continues to talk smack on the mic about Punk and Rey Mysterio. Punk comes back with a kick to the head on Chavo. Chavo responds with a kick of his own and a 1 count pin. Chavo has Punk grounded in the center of the ring, still working on the hurt shoulder. The fans begin to rally behind Punk as he mounts a comeback. Punk uses his good arm to deliver some chops but Chavo knocks him back down and works on the shoulder. 2 count by Chavo. Chavo is still on the offensive, controlling the match. Another 2 count by Guerrero. Punk gets a backslide for a 2 count and starts to come back with kicks. Punk hits his running knee in the corner, followed by a kick to the face and Chavo is down. Punk, looking hurt, goes to the top but gets knocked off by Chavo. Punk falls to the floor right by Edge. Edge says timing is everything, gets up and lays CM Punk out. The Rated R Superstar gets back behind the announcing booth and continues commentary. Punk is down and the referee makes his 10 count on the ECW Champion. Winner by countout and #1 contender to the ECW Championship: Chavo Guerrero. Tazz hints that Chavo will want his title shot next week on ECW Sci-Fi. Chavo celebrates in the ring as Edge leaves the arena and the ECW Champion is left on the floor, looking bad.

Over the Top Rope Challenge - Kane, The Miz, John Morrison, Tommy Dreamer, Shelton Benjamin: Tommy Dreamer is eliminated first via a Kane chokeslam to the outside. Miz and Morrison follow suit in the same manner after the champs double-team Benjamin for the majority of the match. Shelton immediately hits a headscissors to eliminate Kane and win the match.

Jonathan Coachman is in the ring to mediate the Best Body Contest between Kelly Kelly, Lena, and Layla. He is getting booed mercilessly. None of the women get reactions on the way down, with the exception of some jackass in a red hat that the cameras happened to catch tweaking out for Kelly. Kelly actually gets a good pop when she starts dancing. The crowd unsurprisingly picks Kelly. Post-match, the heels cheap-shot Kelly.

Kofi Kingston vs. David Owen: Typical big powerhouse vs. smaller technician. Kofi uses some very unique offense, reversals, and displays of athletic ability. He finishes him off with a chanting leg drop and a running buzzsaw kick to pick up the victory in his debut match.

A very effective video package highlighting some Royal Rumble statistics and trivia throughout the years.

Edge and Chavo Guerrero are backstage getting psyched up for the main event. Vickie Guerrero comes wheeling in. Edge seems surprised to see her and a little dismayed that their family is altogether on this show.

Edge comes down for commentary on the main event.

CM Punk vs. Chavo Guerrero - No DQ Match for the ECW Championship: Punk drops Chavo to the outside and nails a suicide dive. He whips Chavo into the steps and attempts a suplex on them, but Chavo reverses and hits a front-falling suplex to Punk across the steps. Chavo goes to work on the ribs with a baseball slide into the corner and an abdominal stretch. Chavo continues pounding on him, but Punk is able to fight back with some stiff kicks. He goes for the high knee/bulldog, but is whipped into the corner. He catches Chavo with an elbow and finally nails his bulldog. He goes to the outside and goes for the springboard clothesline, but Chavo catches him with a dropkick. Chavo nails the Three Amigos and goes to the top for the Frog Splash, but he rolls through. Punk sends Chavo into the corner, and goes for the GTS. He nails it, but Edge comes in and nails a spear before Punk can make the cover. As such, Chavo goes for the cover and just like that, we have a new ECW Champion

ECW for me started going down hill at the 2006 One Night Stand PPV knowing Vince McMahon was running everything and not Paul Heyman. Paul Heyman is ECW, Vince McMahon is an ECW wannabe.
