Like the man who succeeded him as coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Jon Gruden can't say enough about rookie QB Josh Freeman. A few days after Raheem Morris declared the Bucs are "married'' to their first-round draft pick out of Kansas State, Gruden predicted Tampa Bay will win more than seven games in 2009. Appearing on ESPN, the new Monday Night Football commentator also said that Freeman, who has moved up to No. 2 on the depth chart behind Byron Leftwich, would develop into one of the league's biggest stories of 2009.
