According Ed Werder of ESPN, former Browns president Mike Holmgren would be willing to discuss possibly returning to the sidelines again as a head coach next season. “If anyone is interested, I’ll listen,†Holmgren said. Holmgren was let go by the Browns shortly after the team was bought by Jimmy Haslam. It biggest issue with the Browns was not finding a franchise caliber quarterback, but a number of NFL executives mentioned that they believe the Browns have the best roster of the available head coaching jobs, so he does deserve credit for putting together a talented young team. There’s always been talk that Holmgren is a better coach than a personnel director, but it’s hard to say that any team will really be all that interested in hiring him with so many quality options already available.
