With the running backs group being hit with two injuries, the Falcons signed Richard Medlin on Sunday. They released running back Robbie Frey on Saturday and Jason Snelling, who has a lower right leg injury, did not practice. Medlin, 5-11, 200, who played at Fayetteville State of the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association, was undrafted in 2011 after finishing his collegiate career, which began as a walk-on. He was originially signed by the New England Patriots as a free agent. Medlin was waived by the Patriots late in training camp last summer. Source: Atlanta Journal-Constitution
