Apparently Oakland has better parking lots... Former Eagles cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha is set to retire as a member of the Oakland Raiders on Friday. Asomugha played 11 seasons in the NFL for Oakland, Philadelphia and the San Francisco 49ers. Unfortunately for the Eagles, Asomugha only really played well for eight years. The Eagles signed Asomugha to a huge deal after the cornerback played eight years in Oakland. A three-time Pro Bowl player and four-time All-Pro selection, Asomugha was expected to shut down one side of the field in Philadelphia. However, he ended up doing more for opposing teams than the Eagles over a two-year stretch. Asomugha was cut shortly after Chip Kelly took over as head coach earlier this year. Asomugha signed with the 49ers and only lasted three games in San Francisco. He was cut on Nov. 4 and has been on the street ever since. Asomugha's decision to retire is likely due to a lack of interest. While Asomugha's career is ending on a sour note, his personal life is on an upswing. He married Kerry Washington shortly after being cut by the Eagles and the pair are expecting their first child. Asomugha also took part in possibly the most infamous "Kroll Show" sketch of the show's first season. He could look to add acting as a long-term career and also be able to have flexibility when it comes to eating in his car.
