Giants tight end Martellus Bennett suffered a hyperextended knee in the first quarter, when he said he "(freaking) slipped on the (darn) turf." He was able to return after doctors examined him on the sidelines, making three catches for 30 yards.

"Most people don’t go back in, but like I was saying earlier, to be an elite player on the team and in this league, you've got to play through injury," Bennett said. "Ahmad (Bradshaw) was like, 'I need you out there blocking' or whatever, so I just try to come through and do the best I can.' "

Offensive guard Chris Snee started the game after being questionable with a hip injury that appeared for the first time on last week's injury report. He has a partially torn hip labrum, a person with knowledge of the injury confirmed.

"I made it through," Snee said. "I had no doubt in my mind I was going to play. Obviously not 100 percent, but still felt good."
