Georgetown College can now set its sights on another training camp attendance record with an agreement from the Bengals to hold the 2008 camp at the Georgetown, Ky., campus announced Tuesday.

Eric Ward, the school's athletic director, anticipated an agreement last month because of the improved condition of all three fields.

We are thrilled to continue a strong relationship with the Bengals' organization, Ward said in a press release. We feel it is a great partnership for their team and fans, and for our school.

A record 53,000 plus fans converged on the campus last year and with a handful more dates Ward expects similar numbers at the Bengals' 11th Georgetown camp.

We are happy to continue our affiliation with Georgetown College, said Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis in a press release. We believe a traditional training camp environment is still the best way to get our team prepared for the challenges that the NFL season presents. Our satisfaction with the physical plant at Georgetown is well-known -- it is tailored for a football situation -- and our relationships with the staff members who run the camp are excellent.
