Actually, in the pre-season you can find some of the best betting. Some coaches (Like Bill Cowher) were hell bent on having a winning pre-season record to build momentum for the regular season.

While others (like Bill Parcells) seemed intent on going winless to keep being able to play the "You guys suck, do me a favor and actually try to win next week" card.

 

It's even the pre-season for the cameramen....
