"Kirk Hinrich wore a gray T-shirt, sweats and basketball shoes before the Bulls' 106-97 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday night at the United Center, as if he didn't want to accept reality. But nothing the Bulls captain did could hide the large splint he wore on the right thumb that will be repaired surgically Tuesday. Hinrich suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament in Friday's victory over Phoenix, and Bulls officials estimate their best perimeter defender could miss 12 weeks.
