The Jaguars had been working on re-signing linebacker Russell Allen throughout the offseason and accomplished that goal shortly after the free agent market opened. Allen and the Jaguars agreed in principle to a three-year deal, according to a source. Just in case, Jacksonville placed a second-round tender on Allen, which meant that in order to sign Allen, another team would have to give up a second-round pick.
