Josh Freeman's agents will meet with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to discuss the quarterback's future, according to Pro Football Talk. The agents hope to "clear the air on Freeman's long-term status", whatever that may mean.

It seems unlikely a new contract will arise out of these talks. Earlier reports suggested the Bucs will let Freeman play out his contract before discussing an extension, owing to Freeman's inconsistent play both throughout his career and during last season. Freeman at times looked like an elite quarterback, and yet at other times struggled with accuracy and turnovers.
