Less than two weeks ago, it was reported Detroit Lions center Dominic Raiola restructured the final year of his contract, agreeing to take a pay cut to stay with the organization where he's played his entire 12-year career. Before agreeing to restructure his deal, Raiola's base salary was scheduled to be $4.05 million. According to Mike O'Hara, columnist for the team's official website, the veteran center will now play for the league minimum in 2013. As a player with more than nine accrued seasons, Raiola will earn $940,000 next season. The base salary reduction will trim Raiola's cap number to $2.95 million in 2013 and save the Lions $3.1 million. Source: MLive.com
