Lions kicker Jason Hanson is still on the fence about whether he'll return for another season in 2013. He told reporters on Saturday afternoon he'll make a decision in the next few weeks.

A 21-year veteran, Hanson proved he's still capable of performing at a high level, converting 32 of his 36 field goal attempts last season.

A free agent, Hanson has said he is only interested in playing for the Detroit Lions if he returns. A 4-12 season in 2012 left him emotionally drained and he only wants to return if he feels he can be 100 percent committed, physically and mentally.

"I don't want to fade away," Hanson told MLive.com at the end of the season. "I might, but as long as I feel like I'm ready to try to be the best and come back and be as good as ever, then I'm in."
