According to ESPN.com, puzzling wideout Michael Crabtree has already decided that he won't sign at the price the 49ers are prepared to offer him. The Niners are offering 10th pick money, a five-year $20 million deal that maxes out at $26.5 million, but Crabtree isn't interested. He feels he deserves more money regardless of where he was drafted, even though he's never appeared in a professional football game and is willing to sit out the season until he gets the money he wants.

I think he should sign, obviously his advisers are telling him different. Oh well, he stands to lose lots of money and one year of paychecks.

I have seen some reports where his advisers are also telling him to sign and this decision is all on him.

yeah, I guess you really can't know whats going on. I can see Eugene Parker taking the fall if he does eventually sign. He'll spin it to make Parker the bad guy.

You do have to think that the agent might have suggested pulling this move at first, but once the team didn't back down then you would assume he would try to make his client see sense as he wants his commission.
