For the first time in years, excitement is surrounding the Nets’ franchise. But controversial New York Post columnist Phil Mushnick, who has been notorious for criticizing such major players as WFAN’s Mike Francesa and World Wrestling Entertainment’s Vince McMahon, decided to take a stab at Jay-Z and the new-look Nets in his latest piece. The comments that Mushnick made are causing quite a stir, and many are claiming that this time the writer went way over the line. "As long as the Nets are allowing Jay-Z to call their marketing shots—what a shock that he chose black and white as the new team colors to stress, as the Nets explained, their new “urban†home—why not have him apply the full Jay-Z treatment? I've been reading Muhsnick for years. He is a NY hack who gets pup in NY for his media views in the New York Post. He just made a headline! Good for him. Really, I like the guy, except for his excessive hard-on to dis Mike Francesa.
