http://www.gridironfans.com/story.php?t=49711 There are so many ways not to hack it in the NFL. Players are cut for being too slow, too weak, too small and too brittle. A wide receiver with bad hands? Turn in your playbook. Yet in an image-conscious league continually growing in popularity, questionable off-the-field behavior often isn't enough to cost a player his job. Sometimes it takes an act of Congress to address opprobrium. _________________________________________________________________________________ I think this policy is long overdue. Some (not all) of the players are letting the lifestyle go to their head. They need to be grounded and if the play their way out of the league then it's on them.
