NFLPA Files Grievance To Collect $82K For Aaron Hernandez

    The NFL Players Association has filed a grievance against the New England Patriots to collect $82,000 in bonus money for incarcerated tight end Aaron Hernandez, according to

    Hernandez has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of Odin Lloyd and has been in jail since being arrested in June. However, before Hernandez went to jail, he participated in New England's offseason spring workout program. That participation triggered an $82,000 workout bonus that the Patriots have yet to pay.

    The bonus money was due on Aug. 1 and has not been paid, according to

    His conduct was detrimental to the team, the NFLPA is lucky the Pats don't go after more bonuses and guaranteed money like the Falcons did with Vick.

    only way they do not end up paying him this is if there is a clause in the work out bonus part of his contract that says they can with hold this if he breaks the terms spelled out in his contract. if it is just a bonus for working out with the team in the off season,they will have to pay him. that being said,they will no doubt go after some of the signing bonuses he was paid after what he put the team through.
