Young had a workout with the Buffalo Bills on Wednesday and met with coaches, then left town without striking a deal on a contract. Indications are no announcement is imminent according to Mark Gaughan of the Buffalo News. Young threw passes in the Bills' field house to Buffalo receivers David Nelson, Donald Jones, Naaman Roosevelt and Marcus Easley, the team reported on its website. Bills General Manager Buddy Nix had this to say about the Young visit in an interview with Rochester radio station WHTK: "It'll probably be made a bigger deal than it should be. We try to look at all avenues that might get us better and if we can, create some competition at that position for a backup job. We're set with our quarterback, committed to Fitz and are completely with him. We think the more good people we put around him, the better we'll be. If we can bring in some competition for a backup role, one of them will make our team better."
