Packers rookie running back Johnathan Franklin has had a disappointing preseason and appears to be facing an uphill battle for reps at the beginning of the season, reports the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Franklin might emerge as a chance-of-pace option at some point, but heading into the season his role on offense remains unclear.
