Tom Brady spent his youth tossing a football around the parking lot of Candlestick Park in a Joe Montana jersey, imagining that he was the man throwing passes inside of the stadium.

While it remains a subject of debate over who the better quarterback is, Brady supplanted the former San Francisco 49ers great on the all-time passers list during the first quarter of Sunday night's game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Brady entered the game needing 21 yards to pass Montana (40,531) on the list, and got it when he found Wes Welker on the left sideline for a 59-yard gain in the first quarter. Brady is now 12th on the all-time list. Brett Favre leads with 71,838 yards.
