It was announced Tuesday that the Patriots have signed tight end Matthew Mulligan to the 53-man roster. The Bangor, Maine native, who played at the University of Maine, spent training camp with the Packers, but was among their final cuts on Saturday. Listed at 6-foot-4, 267 pounds, Mulligan entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with the Dolphins in 2008; he has also played with the Titans, the Jets, the Rams and the Packers. He has played in 50 games with 20 starts, and has 14 receptions for 144 yards and a touchdown.
