It's tough to see exactly what they're going to do with mallet and garoppolo. I don't see mallet wanting to wait around another 4 years to start. He'd be wasting his career. But from the sound of it garoppolo is going to need about that much time to develop. So my guess is they keep them both around next year unless someone blows then away for mallet.
That's the $64,000 question in what the Patriots do with Mallett with Garoppolo there now. Like you said, they probably need a huge trade offer to make the move.
