Prosecutors will take more time to determine if they will move forward with assault charges against Green Bay Packers linebacker Erik Walden after he was arrested following a dispute with his live-in girlfriend on Friday. Walden was finally released on a signature bond Monday afternoon following an initial court appearance via teleconference, according to Paul Srubas of the Green Bay Press-Gazette. Brown County District Attorney John Zakowski said his office needs more time to consider a charge of “disorderly conduct if not batteryâ€￾ and a hearing was scheduled for Dec. 7. At this point, it’s important to note no charge has been filed against Walden. Complicating the matter is the fact that the alleged victim has changed her story, according to Zakowski, and it matters who initiated the attack.
