Although reports indicate the Raiders have shopped DE Derrick Burgess throughout the offseason, it appears they will hold on to the relatively inexpensive veteran pass rusher as he enters his contract year. Burgess, who has held or tied for the team lead in sacks each year from 2005-07, has wanted a new deal for the past few seasons and boycotted offseason workouts in the past to show his displeasure. Yet, Oakland has not budged on the issue, and it would seem likely that this will be his final year with the team. Source: Pro Football Weekly
yep, for some reason, the raiders have never liked burgess. from what i've seen, the guy is a good player and should succeed whereever he goes from here.
