The Raiders asked for, and received, a one-day extension from the league so that they could try and sell enough tickets to avoid a blackout on local TV.

The Raiders sold out all eight of their regular-season home games last season and their first two this season. Typically, when a team asks for an extension, it winds up selling enough tickets to satisfy the requirement for a game to be televised locally.
