The league announced today that the Ravens were awarded two compensatory pick in April’s NFL Draft, a fourth-rounder (130th overall) and a fifth-rounder (169th overall). That leaves the Ravens, who will draft 29th overall, with eight picks. They originally did not have a fourth-rounder after trading it to the Buffalo Bills for wide receiver Lee Evans last August. Under the rules for compensatory draft selections, a team losing more or better free agents than it acquires in the previous year is eligible to receive compensatory draft picks. The Ravens’ three primary free agent losses last offseason were guard Chris Chester and defensive backs Josh Wilson and Dewan Landry.
