The Saints are scheduled to host a couple of veteran middle linebackers this week but according to Mike Triplett of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, the team has no plans to release current middle linebacker Jonathan Vilma. Vilma's exit is not a foregone conclusion, even though he is due $5.5 million in salary and bonuses and is recovering from an offseason knee surgery. Vilma, who turns 30 next month, just got off crutches last week. It's also possible that Vilma and others could face suspensions from the NFL for their alleged involvement in the team's bounty program.

So if they are keeping Vilma and just signed Tatupu not that long ago, why the heck are they hosting Lofton?

Stay away from Curtis, ya pr**ks!
