The Seattle Seahawks sent a seventh-round pick to the Oakland Raiders earlier this week in exchange for quarterback Terrelle Pryor, immediately leading to questions about what his role would be for the defending Super Bowl champions.

Pryor is listed as a quarterback, but the creativity of Seahawks general manager John Schneider and head coach Pete Carroll could open the doors for other possibilities.

Schneider appeared on SiriusXM NFL Radio and discussed Pryor with Bruce Murray and Rich Gannon, praising the player for his athleticism and bringing up the possibility of moving Pryor around the field.

We’re always trying to improve competition at every position and we saw this as an opportunity to do that,” Schneider said. “Rare athlete, size and speed. We’re just excited about his upside and the type of athlete that he is. We knew that if he was released [by Oakland] there was no way we were going to have an opportunity to claim him.”
