Seahawks tight end John Carlson was taken from the field on a cart after landing on his head following a reception about three minutes into Sunday's divisional playoff game against the Bears and will not return. Chicago had taken a 7-0 lead on a 58-yard pass from Jay Cutler to Greg Olsen when Carlson went down. Seattle took over at its 24, and on first down, Carlson caught a flare pass from Matt Hasselbeck along the left sideline. He tried to leapfrog Chicago's Danieal Manning but got upended, his helmet and right shoulder taking the brunt of the fall.
