FOXSports.com's Jay Glazer reports the Seattle Seahawks are close to agreeing to terms with wide receiver Mike Williams on a three-year contract extension. The former USC star was the 10th overall pick of the 2005 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions. Williams fizzled in Detroit before eating and half-assing his way out of opportunities with the Tennessee Titans and Oakland Raiders. After spending 2008 and 2009 out of football, Williams signed a one-year deal at the league minimum ($545,000) with the Seahawks last spring. The 6-5, 231-pound Williams has been a favorite target of Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck, and leads the team in receptions (62) and receiving yards (735) this season, making him a candidate for the NFL's Comeback Player of the Year.
