    Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman, who had two interceptions and caused another in Sunday’s 23-0 victory over the Giants, has been named the NFC’s defensive player of the week. It’s the second time this season and the third time in Sherman’s career that he has gotten the NFL’s weekly award. He was last named NFC defensive player of the week after Seattle’s home win over the 49ers on Sept. 15, when Sherman had one pick, danced with the Sea Gal cheerleaders and called out doubters in his postgame comments.
