Simmons is/was a great writer. I have read pretty much everything he ever wrote. The sad truth is...he sucks as a TV host.
Same thing with a lot of those ESPN shows, man. All those on-air personalities are beat writers in their respective cities. Doesn't always transfer into on-air persona if you know what I mean #BobRyan
