Linebackers coach Keith Butler will not become the Indianapolis Colts defensive coordinator, choosing instead to remain with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. Butler and newly-hired Colts head coach Chuck Pagano were position coaches with the Cleveland Browns and Butler was scheduled to interview with the Colts on Tuesday. Butler has spent the last nine seasons with the Steelers and has been considered a likely heir apparent to twinky LeBeau as Pittsburgh's defensive coordinator. LeBeau will return to the team in 2012. The Steelers have blocked Butler from interviewing for coordinator openings in the past, but this is the second time he's withdrawn his name from consideration for a coordinator opening.
