Steelers restricted free agent wide receiver Mike Wallace won't get an offer sheet from another team, but that doesn't mean he's ready to return to Pittsburgh. Wallace is willing to sit out of offseason drills and "at least the begin of training camp," according to an ESPN report. He'll sit "until he has to," according to a person familiar with the situation. He received a $2.7 million first-round tender from the team but wants a long-term deal after catching 171 passes for 3,206 yards in three seasons. He can afford to wait until June 15, when the Steelers can cut the tender by $2.1 million.

He should just sign. They won't give him a new deal right away. Being franchised he is still top 5 paid wr.

He was given a first round tender...of $2.7 million and if he doesn't sign by June 15th (his "has to" date,) he'll only get an offer for $577,000+...

Is this guy just an absolute jackass? I mean seriously. He could've made crazy bank but no, just decides that he's going to let it go?
