John McClain of the Houston Chronicle has tweeted that the Houston Texans are expected to begin talks with OLB Connor Barwin and LT Duane Brown about a possible extension. Last year, Barwin turned out to be the team’s leading pass rusher, as he had 9.5 sacks in the second half of the season, tying Jared Allen and Elvis Dumervil for the most sacks in that time. Brown developed into a reliable blind-side blocker, as well. As per the Texans’ policy of not negotiating contracts during the regular season, Barwin and Brown have till the beginning of the season to finalize an extension. Source: NFL Trade Rumors
