Saw a clip from last night's Memorial service for Lacey at East Lansing with Tom Izzo unable to speak he was crying so much.
She was a young girl, 8 maybe with a non curable cancer. She became friends with MSU basketball star. Just passed away
This little girl was riddled with neuroblastoma. One day in the hospital 7'00" Adreian Payne and teammates at MSU stopped in for probably a typical community service photoshoot. Difference here though Payne actually fell in love with the little girl who worshiped him. From that time until her death Peyne was with her constantly, both in and out of the hospital, and took her to practices. Enter one Tom Izzo and the rest of MSU and her story goes viral. Word has it her final words were "It's time for me to go." and then died.
