Titans left tackle Michael Roos has made 119 consecutive starts since he was drafted in 2005, but his status for Sunday’s game against the Colts is up in the air. Roos had surgery to remove his appendix this morning, and his playing status is day-to-day, coach Mike Munchak said.

“He’s kind of like (offensive line coach) Bruce Matthews,†Munchak said. “He’s a quick healer, he can tolerate high pain levels and still play, which he’s done since he’s been here. So we’ll have to wait and see. That (appendectomy) doesn’t happen very often as far as a football players. It’s hard to tell what that means as far as when he can play again, how quickly he can play.â€

If Roos can’t play, Mike Otto will start at left tackle.

Munchak said Roos had some abdominal soreness before the game.

“He was a little sore, but he was checked out and there were no symptoms of any kind. He was cleared,†Munchak said. “We thought he was going to be OK. He was fine. Obviously he played the game and was OK after the game. During the evening and in the morning, it started bothering him.â€
