According to a source with knowledge of the situation, the Titans will meet with representatives for running back/kick returner Darius Reynaud here while the NFL Combine is going on.

The Titans had voiced an interest on Thursday re-signing Reynaud, who stepped int to fill void in the return game after Marc Mariani suffered a compound leg fracture in preseason last year.

“With Marc Mariani's injury, it opened up a spot for him and he took total advantage of it. He was a big factor for us,â€￾ Titans general manager Ruston Webster said. “We definitely would like him back.â€￾

Reynaud, a speedy return man who was out of the league in 2011, was twice named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week after the Titans were the only team to show interest in signing him to a futures contract in 2012.

Reynaud averaged 13.2 yards per return on 31 punt returns and scored two touchdowns, as well as throwing back across the field to Tommie Campbell for another punt return TD on a trick play.

Reynaud also averaged 23.4 yards per kickoff return, including a franchise-record 105-yard return for a score.

“With that speed, we can do a lot of things with him. He definitely has return ability. We saw that last year with him returning three kicks. We think he can still get a lot better at that, which he will the more he does it,â€￾ Munchak said. “The good thing he did was he didn't put the ball on the ground at all. He did a great job there, and he did what we asked him to do at running back.â€￾

Hes really only a utility player. Not really a RB or WR. He is however worth keeping. Fast as hell and doesnt put the ball on the carpet. Good returner to have, especially when Mariani is getting over a broken leg.
